7 Pockets vs. 1 Pocket: Choosing the Configuration for Your Department
Share
Not every nurse needs a dozen pockets. Too many can sometimes add unnecessary weight and bulk to your uniform.
How to choose your configuration:
1. Med-Surg/ICU (Recommended: 7 Pockets): You need to carry a lot of tape, alcohol swabs, scissors, and personal devices. A multi-compartment 'load-bearing system' is essential here.
2. Outpatient/OR (Recommended: 1-3 Pockets): Your gear is usually fixed on a table or cart. In this case, a leaner, sharper minimalist cut provides better freedom of movement and prevents snagging in tight spaces.
3. Management/Admin (Recommended: Minimalist): Emphasis is on a clean, professional image. GEGIX allows you to customize the number of pockets in your Body Profile. We don't give you extra; we give you exactly what you need.
